ChrisKean1 > Wall painting, Ura Kidane Mihret, Lake Tana area. This depicts the founding of Debre Damo monastery (to which I climbed after leaving Axum). The cliff walls are sheer, so legend has it that the founder had the help of a magical snake to get to the top.
