Finland, summer 2008 and after - ChrisKean1's Photos

We've been back to Finland a couple of times since moving to Dushanbe. These are a few shots from the past year-and-a-half, which I'll eventually put with the rest of the Finland pictures.

ChrisKean1 > Sunset, north of Stockholm, Sweden. K and I spent a night with some relatives at their summer cottage. It was well worth it for the pleasant company, and for this view.

ChrisKean1 > Evening on the ferry, east of Stockholm. We took the ferry from Stockholm to Turku and then headed up to Rauma and Pori.

ChrisKean1 > Rauma. This is a small town a couple of hours north of Turku, containing hundreds of old, wooden structures. Most such buildings were long since torn down in the rest of Finland, with Rauma (and parts of Porvoo and others) representing the best of what is left.

ChrisKean1 > Church of the Holy Cross, Rauma. This lovely artwork is about 500 years old.
